New TSI Fellows, Janet Snow-Godfrey & Maggie Williams

I’m pleased to announce Janet Snow-Godfrey and Maggie Williams as Senior Fellows in The Sierra Institute. Janet was nominated by former Senior Fellow, John McWilliams and Maggie was nominated me.

Janet Snow-Godfrey joined Ochsner in May 2014 as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. She oversees all aspects of Human Resources for employees and physicians including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee development and learning, and supports HR elements of strategic affiliations with other providers.

Most recently Janet was Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Culligan International in Chicago; a global water filtration company. Earlier in her career, she worked for various companies including Sara Lee, Bankers Life and Casualty, and Acxiom, focused on transforming HR teams into high performing organizations. She started her career at PepsiCo, spending 15 years at Pepsi-Cola and Pizza Hut in HR, sales and operations roles.

Janet grew up in Illinois and received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she also received her Master of Arts in Labor and Industrial Relations.

With over 25 years of professional experience, Maggie Williams is a seasoned and diversified Human Resources executive. In May, 2014, Maggie joined Deluxe Entertainment Services Group in Burbank, California as Executive Vice President, Global Head of Human Resources. In this new role, she will rebuild a global human resources team, providing human capital strategy and more effective and efficient work processes to further the goals and objectives of Deluxe. Prior to Deluxe, Maggie was the SVP & Global Head of Talent Management at AIG, the world’s largest insurer. In her role, she built the Talent Management organization from the ground up as it was a new function for AIG. Before joining AIG, she was the Chief Human Resources Officer for iCrossing, a global digital marketing and advertising agency. She was specifically hired to build the company on a fast-track growth trajectory and prepare it for an IPO or sale. Other senior executive positions include, Vice President of Human Resources for TSYS Acquiring Solutions, a technology company providing payment solutions to merchants, Sr. Director, Recruitment, Selection & Staffing for America West Airlines (now USAirways/American Airlines). Maggie is a graduate of Arizona State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources Management. She is also a graduate of the Executive Education Program, Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
